MOROKA SWALLOWS PREMIER LEAGUE SAFA CAF FIFA
| Moroka Swallows Ladies team was formed in 2003. We started off playing in the provincial league and finished on top of the log table. By the 2003/2004 season the team was promoted to the Vodacom league. We had 5 players selected for the Senior National Team and out of that five three of our players also played for under 19 National Team. The Swallows Ladies Team was the first team in South Africa to defeat the 5 times National champions Soweto Ladies and we finished on top of the league. We also qualified for the National play-offs and were crowned the National Champions. |
| In the 2004/2005 season Moroka Swallows Ladies did it again. We finished on top of the league and qualified for the national play-offs, where we lost 1-0 in the finals to Cape Town Spurs and finished as runners-up. We also made a huge contribution to the nation as 6 of our players were selected to play for the National team. They were Busisiwe Sebanyoni, Thokozile Mdaweni, Belinda Nkosi, Sesebo Makgopa, Janine Van Wyk and Rosa Nzima (U19). |
